Monmouth Rugby Club - Wilde Rover

Want to be part of the best  rugby club in New Jersey (without getting tackled)?  


We are raising money for Monmouth Rugby Football Club Inc. (established 1973), and in particular, our clubhouse, The Wilde Rover located in Red Bank, NJ.  The club currently fields two men's sides, and women's side, an Old Boys side, and a youth side, and plays in the Empire Georgraphic Rugby Union under USA Rugby. 


Monmouth RFC has a 45 year (and counting)  history of accomplishment.   Monmouth RFC was the first New Jersey based rugby club to play in Division 1 of the Metroplitan New York Rugby Union.   Three of our members have played for the US National Rugby Team (The Eagles) .  Monmouth RFC  has also won league championships in the Met Union and has played in the US Rugby National Club Championships several times.  In 1995, we were ranked #5 in the country in our division.  


Our biggest accomplishment was that in 1995 Monmouth acquired three (3) properties in Red Bank (including “The Wilde Rover”).    At that time, Monmouth became one of the few rugby organizations in the USA  to own their own clubhouse property!  As of 2018, we remain one of the VERY few to still own and operate our clubhouse. 


We have paid off our financial obligations on two of the three properties and we are close to paying off our final obligations on the last one to become be debt free,    The amount to be raised to meet this goal is $129,400!

Donations can be made through PayPal or any method convenient to you (Checks payable to Monmouth Rugby Football Club., Inc. - Mailed to Frank Fischer Esq., 25 Abe Voorhees Drive, Manasquan, NJ 08736 )   All donations raised will be split between the capital improvement fund and paying off the remaining mortgage.     Each quarter we will announce the donations to date, and the balance of the mortgage.  Also, all donations are tax deductible as Monmouth RFC is a 501C3 organization.  A receipt for your donation wll be sent to you under PAYPAL GIVING.


Our goal is to be one of the first rugby clubs to own their own property “free and clear”!  Any contribution received makes impact and is much appreciated!  We encourage club members to make a donation in honor or in memory of a departed club member.  If you are a current or former member, let us know when you played, any great rugby memories or funny stories,  and where you are now to show just how far rugby at the Jersey Shore reaches.
