Monkstown & Pembroke Joint Fundraiser
Donation protected
Monkstown FC and Pembroke CC are two hugely popular clubs based in Sydney Parade just off Park Avenue in Sandymount. The two clubs between them have been in existence for 293 years and have a rich history, sharing grounds, facilities and members.
The grounds and facilities require constant renewal and revitalisation to ensure they are kept to the standards deserved by our members and necessary if we are to continue to attract future members. In recent years the playing surfaces, changing facilities and gym have been significantly upgraded with the playing surface and player facilities now a match for any club in the country.
Our member and spectator facilities remain dated with the toilet facilities in particular requiring attention - their current condition does not offer the basic amenities that our members, visitors and guests deserve.
The great news is that Monkstown FC and Pembroke CC have jointly secured grant funding of €150,000 to completely rebuild the toilet facilities in the clubhouse, including the provision of appropriate disabled access facilities. The grant funding will cover approximately half of the total costs (significant remedial works are required) and therefore the two clubs are undertaking a joint fundraising to meet the full costs of the works.
This investment in critical infrastructure will be for the long-term benefit of both Monkstown and Pembroke and we ask you to support generously.
Thank you in advance
