Help Monkey’s Emporium Herts Be Accessible For All

Donation protected

Calling all Retro Collectors and Enthusiasts, We at Monkey’s Emporium Herts are a small independent collectables store and have held a shop presence in Stevenage for the last 6 years, due to increases in bills and decline in footfall in the indoor market we are having to close up short term while we find a new permanent home.

The indoor Market store is the second location we established in Stevenage. Unfortunately I have had to make the decision to hand my notice to finish trading at the end of March. I have enjoyed my time in the market and working with all the traders. this decision has not come lightly as my sister helped me establish the stall before she passed away from stage 4 cancer aged just 40, I have fought to keep the stalls going as part of her legacy but with the solid decline in business over the past couple of years and not fully recovering from the affect of lockdowns it is time for me to make a change.

We feel it is important to keep with our established form of a Bricks ‘n’ Mortar Shop, We’ve always strived to be a little different and quirky.

We want to continue providing people with an old style comic book store with a vintage and retro toy shop twist where we can provide a place to visit even if it’s just for the nostalgic feel. In addition to the continuation of our current lines we also want to offer a retro gaming arcade with classic games on retro feel machines as well as a selection of other consoles for you to enjoy.

We know that everyone is different and likes to shop in different ways, we would like your suggestions for how we can make your shopping experience better. We would especially like to hear how we can improve to help people with physical and social disabilities experiences, we have considered offering private viewing sessions and even staying open later for the night owls.

We ask that if you can please donate to help us stay in the Hertfordshire area, so we can be bigger and better than ever before. So we can keep supplying customers old and new with Childhood Memories.

Our Shop Dalek ‘Bob’ also collects in support of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice

“These are the toys you’re looking for!”

The money we receive will be used to invest in making the shop and shopping experience bigger and better for all. We also want to be able to invest in improvements to enhance the shopping experiences for customers with Physical and Social Disabilities and welcome any input of how we can do this, including private shopping events, items you’d like to see and layout.

We thank you in advance for any help you can give. Every one who donates (£10 or more) will be entered into a draw to win one of 3 £50 vouchers to spend in store.
When donations hit £500 we will be entering everyone in to a draw to win a £150 voucher and a private shop viewing session.
