You will not see his prior arrest in May 2022, for which he went through Johnson County's Recovery Court—an intervention that's meant to stop the cycle of abuse and violence that he's chosen to continue.

In that first incident, he put his hands on her and choked her. In this most recent incident, he dragged her pregnant body from the couch and across the floor. The child in her belly didn't stop him, and he didn't stop when their six-year-old bravely pulled at his arm and begged him to stop. I hope their child is young enough that he doesn't carry the trauma of this night with him.

They set a cash bond of $10k. This means that someone had to deposit the full amount with the court to have him released; paying a portion to a bail-bond company was not an option.
