Monika's recovery
Donation protected
Hi Guys,
We are reaching out to you to share a story of our friend Monika.
Late May this year she was taken by ambulance with a huge headache to Blanch hospital.
We thought it was a simple exhaustion. After few tests, medical team decided to transfer her immediately to Beaumont… And that’s when we found out something very dangerous was happening with Monika. She had a stroke, had to have an emergency surgery to open her skull to release the bleeding to the brain. She spent almost a week in a coma.
Because she’s a BADASS, she pulled it through and after 8 weeks total spent in the hospital, she was released home.
Unfortunately, the stroke left her with physical damage. She is very weak, has problems with coordination, loss of sensation, problems with hand grasp, trouble speaking, visual impairment.
Any simple, everyday task is a huge challenge for her.
And this is where we are reaching out to you all to help her get professional help so she can have her previous life back. She's a mother to 3 young kids.
We are asking you to donate any sum of money so we can send Monika to a post stroke rehab centre in Poland where she will receive 24/7 medical help. Unfortunately, those are not available in Ireland…
Iwona Sarna is the beneficiary of this campaign. She is Monikas closest friend and is helping with organizing the stay in the stroke rehabilitation centre.
Thank you All.
