Monies for Bunnies with American Ninja Warrior!

Hi Friends! My name is Jessica Helmer and I Run for Buns!
For those who don't know me, I've been competing in ninja warrior leagues for the past two years with the hopes of someday making it to the ultimate ninja challenge: the American Ninja Warrior course. Despite all of the challenges that 2020 has offered us, I managed to see my dream come to fruition when I was invited to compete on a very special Season 12 of American Ninja Warrior!
Every ninja has a story, and I’m no different! When I'm not working, training or competing, I'm also a volunteer with Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions (ORCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming unwanted domestic rabbits in Central Florida. Early in my ninja career, I decided to combine my two passions and use ninja as a platform for rescue rabbit awareness! Last year I was able to raise just over $1000 in prizes and sponsorships to offset medical costs and basic supplies for the bunnies.
This year, I hope you can help me raise even more “monies for bunnies” by sponsoring my American Ninja Warrior run!
Sadly, many of the bunnies that come through ORCA have extensive medical conditions. We've seen all sorts of infections and abscesses, broken backs and limbs, liver problems, irreversible eye damage, and severe ear infections. Last year ORCA was able to save 126 bunnies but spent over $16,000 in order to bring them back to good health and help them find their furever homes. Any donation amount or sharing of this campaign would mean so much to me, the buns, and all of us volunteers at ORCA!
I know that this year has been difficult, financially, for many of us… and there are lots of very worthy causes that you could donate to. Even if you aren’t able to make a donation, I thank you so much for your support and allowing me to bring awareness to such a great passion of mine!
Don’t forget to tune in to the season premiere of American Ninja Warrior season 12 on Monday, September 7th. You just might catch a glimpse of me and some of my furry ORCA friends in one of the episodes!
