I’m reaching out with an open heart and a lot of vulnerability. As some of you know, I’m scheduled for major surgery next month to correct a significant issue that has deeply affected my life, my health and my fertility.

Over the last few years, I’ve been dealing with severe gynecological challenges. I underwent a myomectomy early last year (2024) to remove multiple fibroids that were causing chronic pain and affecting my livelihood. After the surgery, the pain continued intense, persistent and unexplainable and I knew something still wasn’t right.

For nearly two years, I went down an exhausting rabbit hole of medical visits, consultations and a lot of unanswered questions. It was emotionally draining, mentally overwhelming and physically debilitating.

After another procedure in October to address the pain, I got clarity and found out I need to have additional fibroids removed and my entire pelvic area reconstructed.

I sought out a specialist and then a second opinion. The doctor who is the most qualified to fix it is unfortunately out of network and is not covered by my insurance. Surgical fees, along with the necessary recovery treatments total $12,000 out of pocket.

This surgery isn’t “just a procedure.” It’s my chance to live without chronic pain. It’s a step toward restoring my body and gives me hope, real hope, about my fertility and the possibility of becoming a mom someday.
