Monica’s Medical Expense and Recovery Fundraiser

Hello everyone! We’re fundraising here to support our very dear friend, Monica Rose Oliver.
For those of you that don’t know Monica, she is a Godly, loving, altruistic woman; a devoted wife to her husband Brian, and a fierce mother to her three precious kiddos, Carter, Emmy, and Jaxten. A few of Monica’s top priorities in this life are Jesus, family, and financial stewardship – in that order!
Monica has suffered from Crohn’s disease for the majority of her life. Despite her awareness of the dangers she’s faced with due to Crohn’s, and her commitment to taking every precaution by living the healthiest life she is able, Monica has always been at risk for serious medical complications. On Friday, August 30, after enduring severe abdominal pain for more than a week, Brian was finally able to convince Monica to head to Urgent Care. It wasn’t long before UC doctors determined that she needed to go to the hospital. Not without protest, knowing the extensive medical bills that would follow, Monica agreed and was admitted to the ER around 7:00 AM. A CT scan was ordered immediately, revealing a very serious infection and a perforation in her intestines. Antibiotics were administered straightaway to start battling the septic threat, however, things went from bad to worse throughout the night, and Monica went into emergency surgery on Saturday morning. Once Monica is stable and strong enough to be released, she will need several months of rehabilitation.
Those who know Monica, know that she has always been the first one to come to the support of those in need; arranging fundraisers, coordinating meal sign-ups, helping to spread the word, working relentlessly to help and care for others. Well, now the tables have turned, and she needs our help! We’re asking of those that are able, to please consider supporting her and her family with this unexpected financial burden brought upon them due to not just the unforeseen medical bills, but other expenses such as additional childcare, and general help that Monica and her family will require as she goes through recovery.
