On June 27th, 2020 I was giving my daughter Monica a bath and after I got her out she experienced her first seizure. I panicked and called 911 the ambulance arrived within minutes, as I sat in the front of the ambulance it took 15-20 minutes for her to stop seizing and for the EMT’s to have her stable to head to the hospital.
After arriving at the hospital they ran tests during this time Monica had a couple more seizures all tests came back normal. The hospital gave me a prescription and advised if she had another one to call 911 and sent us home. After arriving home within 30 mins we had to call 911 again as she had another seizure and on the way to the hospital she came back and would seize again multiple times. We stayed overnight as they ran more tests and all were normal. They advised me to meet with her primary physician for a referral to a neurologist so that’s what we did.
At her doctor’s appointment Monica had another seizure in the lobby and in the exam room her physician advised me to take her to the emergency room right away, So we headed to the hospital and they admitted her. The neurologists and doctor’s ran CT Scans, MRI’s, and an EEG. After being at the hospital in Tulsa for approx. a week her neurologist advised that they fly her to Dallas where she could receive better care and better specialists.
On July 5th, 2020 they flew Monica and myself in a medical jet from Tulsa to Dallas. We have been in Dallas for 2 days now and it has been a rough road any help that you could provide is appreciated and please keep Monica in your prayers as doctors try and figure out what is going on with my baby. The money raised will be used for unseen medical, travel, and living expenses.
