My name is Monica Bates, I'm a 57 year old single mother of 5 children. I was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer on March 17, 1998. I've been a survivor for 20 years, I was just recently diagnosed again with stage 3 lung cancer as well as a heart condition with a very large tumor near my heart. I did chemo and radiation to shrink my tumor the treatment was unsuccessful . The final treatment that was recommended to me is having one of my full lung removed and surrounding layers of my heart; receiving that news has really taken a toll on me, I was told to get a second opinion from cancer centers and other doctors unfortunately my insurance doesn't cover anything, receiving a donation would be highly appreciated to help me fight my new battle.
