As a Burgmaier fan girl, I join so many others in the devastating heartbreak of Monica’s passing yesterday. For those close to Monica, Bryan, Avery and Audrey, you have likely followed, cheered, cursed…prayed (likely at times all of the above) for Monica over these past months as she battled Ovarian cancer.

True to Monica fashion, she was one heck of a warrior and despite the severity of the fight, she didn’t stop swinging, laughing or loving.

As our community of Burgmaier fans struggles for words during this time of tremendous loss, we are hoping to come together as a community to help lessen any financial stress that comes with Monica’s passing. We also hope that this fund serves to remind Bryan, Audrey and Avery that they have a team of love and support behind them. Therefore, this GoFundMe is being created (much to Bryan’s loathing of GoFundMe's) so that the friends and family of the Burgmaier family can honor our beautiful, funny, intelligent and courageous friend and provide support as the family navigates hospital bills, celebration of life details and life without Monica.
