My Story - ❤️ Will you be 1 of 100 to help an angel dog (that's what Mummy calls me) get the care she urgently needs?

Hi, My name is Monica. I’m 11 years old. I had only had one home for 3 years of that 11 years. I spent my first 3 years being abused and another 5 years in a shelter before I found my forever human in January — just after I survived a stroke. I was weak, scared, and clinging to life. But then… someone chose me. Someone loved me when I couldn’t stand on my own.

For the past 7 months, my new mum has poured everything into healing me — with gentle walks, doggie massage, warmth, trust, nutrition, enrichment, and 24/7 love. I've transformed in body, mind and soul. The vets say I’m doing well enough for my operation — every day I become stronger. I’ve come back to life.

But now I need the next stage of care. It’s urgent.

What I Need Now (Urgently) - ❤️

• Dental surgery — my gums are infected and at risk of the bacteria spreading to my organs

• A growth removed from my neck — it’s doubled in size

• Anaesthetic & full blood work

• Post-op healing & medication

• Soft stairs to help me up and down from the couch and bed

• A DNA test so we can understand my unique needs

• Behavioural help for my separation anxiety and outdoor triggers

• Special supplies to help make everyday life safer and more comfortable

I know I will need more, but this is just the next step

The Truth - ❤️

None of these things were possible while I was in the shelter. I wouldn’t have survived them. But now, I’ve come so far. I’m strong enough to receive this care — I just need your help.

My mum has never once put her needs before mine — even though she’s grieving the loss of every family member and her beloved cat Mollie and can''t make it home to her family as I wouldn't survive the trip. I became her family… and she became mine. She has put her heart and soul and every hour of the day into me.

She doesn’t ask for help easily — but this time, she’s asking for me.
