Money's Medical Funds Against Kidney Failure
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Carmen and along with my sister, Karen, we would like to help raise funds to support our 15-year-old chihuahua to help fight against her kidney failure.
On April 11th at 2 am, Money was rushed into the emergency unit due to a severe case of vomiting. She has a past medical history of lymphoma and has gone through chemotherapy for the past 6 to 7 months. The chemotherapy has been working and she has been more active and playful. After her previous chemotherapy session on April 6th, we were excited to learn that her final session would be this coming Wednesday. After such a long journey, we were all so proud of her resilience and were glad that she would no longer need to suffer through the tiring treatments. Unfortunately, things started to take a turn for the worst. She started experiencing nausea and recently started to vomit blood. That’s when we rushed her to the ER. After a long night with numerous tests, she was diagnosed with a critical stage of kidney failure. The doctor said it's unlikely that her cancer had caused the kidney failure, and the condition may be reversible but will confirm after a urinalysis. My sister and I are left with the decision to continue treatment or euthanize Money.
The total estimated fund is around $8000-$10,000, and it's an unaffordable amount of funds for my sister and I. My sister is a new graduate and is extremely hard-working; she has been working two jobs for the past few months but had to resign from one of them due to health reasons. I am currently out of school but have been actively trying to find a job for the past month. We’ve already paid a hefty amount of bills for money’s chemo treatment and tumour removal but my sister and I are running out of funding and sadly cannot afford an additional $10,000.
Money has been a family member to us for the past 15 years and had been there with us through our darkest moments in life. My sister has always been a sick child with a rare genetic condition, and Money has been by my sister's side supporting her along with her entire medical journey even up till today. Money had also been a huge support factor to me along with my mental health journey. Now that Money is met with a medical emergency, we would like to give back to her the support and love she had given us through her entire life.
We don't want to let money get between our familial relationship with our dog, especially knowing that there's a chance her kidney failure may be reversible. We also know that we will regret immensenly if we give up on treating money, hence this is why I'm reaching out for help. All the funding will be used toward Money's treatment.
Thank you for your time and any donation or sharing of the post will be greatly appreciated.
