Educational trip to Washington DC by world stride

Samantha received an invitation to attend a six-day Youth leadership forum on national security this summer, National Youth Leadership Forum: National Security–Diplomacy, Intelligence & Defense, In Washington DC. This fantastic opportunity is with Envision by World Strides. On this trip, Samantha will have a chance to experience things that are once in a lifetime. She will learn about how America monitors potential threats, prepares for crises, and plans for peace. This event included interactive speaker events, a national security career fair, national security crisis simulations, etc.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to pay her tuition of $2,895.00, which includes Room, board, site visits, transportation during the program, lectures and simulations, and the curriculum. Facility and staff, and college credits. We are also trying to raise funds for her air fair and to have some money in her pocket while she is in Washington DC. There is also a $499.00 deposit required to secure her spot. We also have to pay for airfare which will be roughly $1,000, to depart on July 17 and return on July 23.

I want to take a minute to tell a little about Samantha, She was once called smart and honest Sam, and I think that does say a lot about my daughter. She works hard at everything she does, and she is very driven in her goals. She is a 4.0 student. She is the team manager of our Trona High School Baseball Team. Family is something she holds to be an essential part of life. She puts her everything and then some into everything she does. She sees the world in a way most people don't. She looks at everything as a way to grow. And we, as her family, believe this could help her grow in many ways. And have a lifelong impact on who she will e throughout her life.
