Money so Lou Can Grieve his dead dad
Donation protected
UPDATE: I am extremely touched by the response to this. My family and I are super grateful. Thank you all so much!!
Lou Gonzalez Jr here. Human, a Queer, an Agender, a Comedian, and the Newest member of several Dead Dad subreddits. My dad Louis Gonzalez (why I am a Jr), recently passed away. It is a difficult time, and the only thing that can make me forget about the pain of having my father die is money.
If you're a big ol dumb dumb and don't know why I would like money? Here are some reasons
-My dad is dead
-He was in the hospital for a month before he died. We had to pay for a lot of expenses, including travel, food, and wigs to look pretty for daddy in the ccu. The last two weeks, Dad was in Westchester. We live in the Bronx, so travel, coffee, and food expenses increased.
-My dad did not have life insurance. We have managed to pay for his memorial with the help of the family. We are also looking into ways of getting assistance and will adjust our lives now that dad is gone, but for the next couple of months, some financial cushion would go a long way.
-US Health insurance is trash, and the cost of all the medication my dad was on before we went to the hospital was stupid and kept him from truly thriving. I want to make up for that to my mom somehow, but I can't because I run a nonprofit comedy school. Emphasis on the NON PROFIT. I'm poor, but it's okay cuz I’m also hot.
-Fun/Sad “my dad is dead” ragers
-Be my own sugar daddy to distract me from my actual daddy not being around.
-Did I say my dad died?
It's hard asking for help. It's a problem I have that I inherited from my father. So maybe I will use some of this money for extra therapy to fix that and maybe work on how I use humor as a coping mechanism. Sorry if the tone of this go fund me is a little uncomfortable for you. The next time my dad dies, I will be more respectful. I love my dad and my family deeply. We are going through a challenging time. I have spent a lot of money already, and ultimately if I can get back some of those costs, it would be great. It would be fantastic if we could get enough to help us transition financially in this weird /sad/confusing time. Thank you for reading this, even if you can't donate. Ok, I'm done. Bye!
