Money for Meila

I definitely am not one to beg for help. I’ve worked since I was 16 and have done everything I can to provide for anything I needed or wanted. So it’s a little uncomfortable for me to be asking, but my fur-baby, my rock, my heart needs your help.

I ‘rescued’ Meila almost 6 years ago now, from a friend of a friend who didn’t even have a place of his own to stay. (Let’s be real though, she rescued me.) Second to what’s happening to her now, it was at the hardest time of my life that she waltzed in and brought me out of darkness. And I can say with certainty, I would not be alive today if I wouldn’t have met her when I did. Some are of the belief that animals are just that, animals. But I am proof that just the physical presence of an animal so devoted to loving you without conditions, no matter what, can be the difference between wanting to die and wanting to live.

Meila and I were given the heart-crushing news that she has lymphoma on February 8th, 2018. Without treatment, she has 1.5-2 months left. And I cannot bear the fact that I might be losing her so suddenly. I am asking, begging, if you have ever felt the love an animal can give and witnessed the healing it can do, please find it in your heart to help me have more time with my precious baby.

Anything you are able to give will be helpful and I will be forever grateful for your generosity.

We see the oncologist today, and I will update this when I know more specifics.
