Relief For Family Care and Needs

Hello, my name is Tyler. My siblings and I recently went through our dad attempting murder on our mom and committing suicide in the garage.

The attempted murder/stabbing happened around 3:40pm on Valentine’s Day.

BACKSTORY:

Our dad was refusing divorce even though our mom has been insisting. For 20+ years he guilted her in the relationship and was suicidal. He had CTE, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, along with many other disorders. Obviously- there is no excuse in the world for becoming a cold-blooded killer. She finally told him that she moved on a month or two after separating, and a half hour later he showed up at the house hiding a knife.

Our dad stabbed my beautiful mother several times in multiple areas and then stabbed himself after he went in the garage. Our little siblings were in the house and my sister was at work when I got the phone call from grandma that Rick had stabbed mom. Our mom has severe injures and he nearly missed all the critical arteries and the heart. He knew where to stab to really end it. Severe injuries to her hand and more deep injuries to other areas including her neck, shoulder, and back. No internal bleeding. Lost mobility and feeling in her hand due to nerve damage but we have hopes that therapy and surgeries will help her hand heal. Surgery was completed and she is stable and has a very positive outlook. Our dad died on scene and was taken away. He died thinking he ended both his and her lives.

Our mom is the strongest woman you’ll ever meet. The way she handled everything for years upon years before separating and then survived an attempted murder is so admirable. Words cannot describe how grateful we are to have her in my life. She’s so positive no matter what is thrown at her and cares about everyone deeply.

Everyone at home is safe, stable, and recovering.

I am the eldest of four at 25. Siblings are 19, 13, and 11. I was hoping some people could donate and spread the word around to help my family with medical bills, scene cleanup, help paying bills, and money to go towards the therapy that everyone will need.
