On March 9th, 2017, Amanda Dellinger was sent to Mission Hospital due to elevated blood pressure; she was admitted with a diagnosis of preeclampsia. Preeclampsia is where the mother's blood pressure elevates and she will have significant protein in her urine. It is a rapidly progressing illness that if not treated emergently, it can be life threatening to the mother and baby. They were giving medications to lower Amanda's blood pressure and were continuously monitoring baby and mom. On March 12th, 2017 baby Charlotte had to be delivered via emergency c-section at 8:19 pm. At 26 weeks and 4 days she weighed in at 2 pounds and 14 inches long, which categorizes her as a micro premie. She was taken to the NICU where she was breathing on her own, but was placed on c-pap to help assist her breathing. She also has a feeding tube and an IV. She is expected to be in the NICU until her inital due date in June. Amanda is doing well after the delivery. We are raising money for the Dellinger family to help with medical expsenses, travel, food, or anything else that is needed to help with the progression of baby Charlotte's health. Any amount is greatly appreciated and will help support the long journey that lies ahead. Amanda, Robert and Charlotte are so thankful for all of the continued thoughts and prayers.
