Hello it is me again,Houria!

I would like to thank again my doners. The money I got so far went towards moving my artwork to my flat .The Studios where I spent 3 years is closed down now. We are 60 artists in the street . I am setting up to work from home.

My name is Houria and I am fundraising for myself.

I am in a very difficult situation.

The bills are going so high.

As far I remember, I have always been an artist. I was so passionate about the fact I could use art for helping people to find their identity, to be happy with themselves...I worked with women in domestic violen

ce and also with children in school.

Very unfortunately I received a notice to leave the studio because they were closing down. This happened on 8th of Sept. 60 artists on the street!!!

I had to take all my artwork at home, in the sitting room... I have no money now to find another place or to have a storage place because it is so expensive.

My painting is on hold for the moment.

Day in and out, I tried to find the best solution how to carry on my artwork

I had really good time in the past showing and selling my work around the world. Now it is difficult to do it

For the moment I need to pay some debt which accumulate by the time I was not selling any more. I am a mature artiste painter and I have no energy as before but I have real passion for art.

My intention is to carry on painting no matter what. My first exhibition in London was in 1983 and I never stopped , constantly challenging obstacles but I never give up.

I had a crucial moment in 2021 when I was going to give up, but out of the blue I received a call from the Tate Britain to invite me to take part in an exhibition ".Women In Revolte!" That toured Edinburgh Scottish Museum and Manchester Whitworth Museum.

Quite recently, I was contacted by MoMa museum in New York for a painting exhibition taking place in 2026. It is such an amazing opportunity.

For the moment I am stuck at home with all my paintings and art stuff.

I need desperately to carry on working

because I need funds for my art project. Fortunately, I live alone so I don't bother anyone with my art around. I am really sad to have lost the art studio...I will do my utmost to carry on painting at home for my next project.
