Monet’s Dream Royal Ballet School
A dream is a wish your heart makes.... my dream is to dance.
Hi My name is Monet Hinscliff and I am 12 years old.
I began dancing at the age of 2 and when I turned 8, I discovered my life’s passion - ballet.
Right now I am a very dedicated and hardworking Year 8 student and I am passionate about ballet. I give all I have to dancing and one day I will be a Prima ballerina. I’m currently dancing at Katherine Mantle Performing Arts Academy under the watchful eye of Principal Ballet Teacher Katharine Mantle.
Last year I auditioned for and was offered a place dancing with The West Australian Ballet, which I accepted. I am now in the Masterclass programme at WA Ballet and look forward to my classes there to help me grow and be the best dancer I can be.
Last month I was offered an incredibly rare opportunity….My dream….. to dance with The Royal Ballet School - Intensive Training Course in Hong Kong.
So when I was accepted as a student there to train with them - my dream is slowly becoming a reality.
My training begins in March, only 4 weeks away!! But without your help I will not be able to fulfil my dream as there is no way that my parents could raise $5,000 from our family’s earnings.
These funds will cover tuition, accommodation, meals, travel expenses and ballet shoes before I leave WA, in March2018.
My Mum, Kristy McDermid, Midwife and SJOG Murdoch and employee of 20 years, with the support of my Dad Paul cannot afford to get me to Hong Kong all on their own. I am asking you if you could kindly support me, financially, even if it is only a little it would assist me so much. My parents dedicate all of their time and any spare money they have ever had to my dancing, but for me to go to Hong Kong I will need so much more.
My parents have sacrificed so much for my education, and my dancing, if you asked them if it is a sacrifice, they would say no.
Please help me to continue on my path to success, and live my ultimate dream.
All donations are gratefully appreciated and I will keep everyone updated on my progress at The Royal Ballet School and beyond.
I couldn't do this without you.
Thank you and much love
