Hello Family and Friends,
As some of you may know the Razo Family has been undergoing a great deal of hardships this past year. Mondo’s Dad (George) has been fighting cancer for 3 years. This has not been easy for him or his family and unfortunately, now Mondo faces a very long road that will be filled with many obstacles as well. In the past two weeks he has been diagnosed with a tumor called Ependymoma. This tumor was found to be attached to his spine causing damage to the spinal cord which has left him paralyzed. We are praying that this is a temporary setback. At this point, his doctors have no way of knowing if he will regain any movement, only time and hard work will tell. He underwent a 6 hour surgery at Stanford Medical Center on November 18th.
As we await the results of the pathology with a positive outlook, we are working on getting him home so that he can return to his family and friends. He will be transferring in the next day or so to San Jose Valley Medical Center, where he will be working with a great rehab team. When he returns home, he will have to face more obstacles with day to day things that we take for granted.
Mondo will need a ramp built for his home to allow him the ability to get in and out of the house easily. Another very important modification will be a restroom that will allow him to take a shower, wash his face and brush his teeth. Mondo knows the road ahead of him won’t be easy but he is doing his best to stay upbeat and positive. We would like to thank everyone for the prayers, calls, and visits as they comfort him knowing that so many people are thinking about him and praying for his quick recovery.
We humbly ask for a donation of any amount that will help make the changes to his house that are not only very much needed for his road to recovery, but will help retain his sense of independence. The family thanks you in advance for helping in accommodating Mondo into his new transition that will most certainly make it possible for him to live the best quality of life possible.
