Mondays At Racine
Tax deductible
On Monday, April 16, 2018 I will be running the Boston Marathon. This year’s marathon theme is “A Year of Service”.
As part of jetBlue’s team, I was encouraged to fundraise for a charity of my choice. It was an easy desicion to immediately choose “Mondays at Racine”, a non for profit organization that was so special to my mom.
Mondays At Racine Cancer Care Foundation provides complimentary beauty, health and wellness services to people diagnosed with cancer and going through treatment. These direct services include head shaving, oncology esthetics, cosmetics, wig services, yoga, nutrition counseling, massage and reiki therapies all at no cost for the patient. They treat men and women with any type of cancer. To date they have helped over 7,000 people and have developed eleven charter programs throughout NY.
This charity made my mom feel beautiful up until her last day and relieved a lot of pain (emotionally and physically) during such a difficult time.
So on Monday, April 16, I will be running for every brave woman and man who walks into Racine that same Monday. I know the pain and soreness I’ll feel will be in no comparison to the pain they feel. I ask you to please consider donating to this wonderful charity and to spread the word about Monday’s at Racine!
