Bonjour, mon nom est Sébastien. J'ai 54 ans et je me bats depuis bientôt 1 an contre un cancer très agressif. J'ai eu la chance d'être opéré rapidement au CHUM et ils ont pu retirer toute la tumeur!!! J'ai ensuite fait de la chimiothérapie pendant 7 mois et de la radiothérapie sur 30 séances.

Malheureusement, le cancer est revenu ce mois-ci et je dois me tourner vers le seul traitement qui me reste: OPTUNE. C'est un dispositif fait d'électrodes connectés à un boitier. L'appareil à porter 22 heures sur 24 est autorisé par Santé Canada mais le paiement n'est pas autorisé par l'INESS ou Santé Québec.

Pour pouvoir survivre, j'ai donc besoint de 27 000$ par mois pour avoir accès

à cet appareil. Le montant est énorme et je suis en recherche active auprès d'entreprises qui voudraient m'aider.

J'ai confiance en l'avenir et aux politiciens qui ajouteront sûrement bientôt OPTUNE sur la liste des thérapies remboursées!

Les fonds ramassés serviront à payer les frais pour le système OPTUNE. Je suis accepté dans le programme mais ne peux commencer les traitements sans les fonds...

Hello, my name is Sébastien. I am 54 years old and I have been fighting a very aggressive cancer for nearly a year. I was fortunate to have surgery quickly at CHUM, and they were able to remove the entire tumor!!! I then underwent chemotherapy for 7 months and radiation therapy over 30 sessions.

Unfortunately, the cancer returned this month, and I must now turn to the only treatment I have left: OPTUNE. It is a device made of electrodes connected to a control unit. The device must be worn 22 hours a day. It is approved by Health Canada, but payment is not authorized by INESSS or Santé Québec.

In order to survive, I therefore need $27,000 per month to access this device. The amount is enormous, and I am actively seeking companies that would be willing to help me.

I have confidence in the future and in the politicians who will surely soon add OPTUNE to the list of reimbursed therapies!

The funds raised will be used to cover the costs of the OPTUNE system. I have been accepted into the program but cannot begin treatment without the funds…
