Send my Mom to DNC -Bernie Delegate

My name is Xena Eriksen. I need help to send my mom to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia July 25th thru July 28th 2016 . Her name is Stephanie Goslen; she is a wonderful mother who has taught my two sisters and me the importance of being an active citizens rather than a passive consumers. She was elected as a Bernie Sanders Delegate in a contentious election at the 13th Congressional District Convention in North Carolina. She has always been dedicated to the party and causes she believes, never backing down without a fight. She is disabled and will need assistance at the convention making it more expensive for her to go. This may be the last opportunity for her to go to the Democratic National Convention.


She has a taught public school for over 19 years and is passionate about making public education more fair and better for all. After all, ignorance is not bliss, and as a country we have a responsibility to raise a more informed electorate. She is committed to dismantling the school to prison pipeline. She is dedicated to fight for justice and equality across the board. She also champions the fight for voting rights, registering and, educating voters and observing at the polls. All my life she has been involved in the Democratic Party she has been a secretary regionally in both Franklin and Wake counties and has done everything from votebuilder entry, organizing and participating in phone banking, letter writing, and running workshops and training sessions. She continues to contribute to her community fighting food insecurity by hosting a food bank at her home.


When she first heard Bernie Sanders was running, she was excited to vote and work to get him elected. She has campaigned at her county’s street fairs; she has organized door to door canvasses for precincts in her county and has spoken to others about her passion for the Senator Sanders.  A passion has been ignited within my mom, she says  brings back memories of working with her mother on various campaigns as far back as McGovern. She also is impressed with Senator Sanders, as he is really the only candidate speaking of climate change and repealing citizens united.


I don’t think I can describe how grateful I would be for any help to make my mom’s dream come true, she does so much for others, I would like to do something for her.
