Mom's travel scam

Hi, my name is Paul and I am fundraising to help cover the cost of my mothers plane ticket which she bought from a scam company as when we got to the airport, she was not in the airlines systems so she asked me to use my credit card and I am somewhat struggling myself to pay off the peak price, trying to recover the money that Mum paid has been difficult, so any help at all would be appreciated as also taking advantage of the elderly is wrong.
