Mom's medical expenses

First off, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to do and I'm not even asking for myself, it's for my parents. They aren't ones to ask for help, EVER!!! I moved in with them 6 months ago to help take care of my mom, after she spent a month in Henry Mayo/ UCLA hospital. At this moment in time I'm in a position that's above and beyond my abilities.
As you can imagine, when you spend a month in the hospital; you rack up quite the stockpile of bills! Between physician services, hospital fees, lab fees and ambulance fees she has accrued several thousands of dollars that they cannot afford to pay. My dad was put out on disability by his doctor, but the state denied any payments because for the last year he has worked for the State of CA where they don't pay out disability.
The end result is - mom is home on palliative care for her final days. She is not a candidate for a liver transplant, because her heart and lungs are far too weak and compromised to withstand that long of a surgery. She is bloated and looks 6-9 months pregnant at all times because her liver is so swollen. She retains fluid all over her body. She's in pain, and it kills me to watch her suffer daily. This is the hardest job I've ever experienced in my life!
Asking for help isn't easy for me either, but I just can't afford to help my parents because I'm not working either (other than here in my parents home-care taking). I would be forever grateful for any and all help, even $5 here & there from anyone who can find it in their hearts to help.
Thank you for considering this as something you are willing to help our family with! Love to all my wonferful family and friends!
