Hi! My name is Kaila for those who may not know me. My mother’s name is Angela. Angela is a survivor of severe domestic violence. She has been in the hospital fighting for her life since October 2nd. My mom has suffered from broken ribs, collapsed lungs, and brain bleeds from her abuser. Over the passed 4 months, my mom has had more than 20 surgical procedures to stay alive and is currently still in the ICU fighting for her life. She’s been on and off of life support for 28 days, had a trach put in her throat to help her breathe, a feeding tube, had an EBD drain in her brain, and has had a permanent shunt put in her brain. We are still trying to get her back to health and get her moved to rehab. She has to learn how to do normal things all over again. Such as walking, using the bathroom, and talking. My mom is still suffering from memory loss and we aren’t sure if she’ll ever get it back. I am her only child. I don’t have anyone to stay with her other than myself. I’ve taken on the role of paying all of her finances and making medical decisions. I’ve had to move again to a home that has enough space for me to take care of her once she is discharged from the hospital. With my moms conditions, I have not been able to work or barely even leave the hospital. I am truly embarrassed to finally admit that I need help. Any kind of help. I am hoping this fundraiser will help me pay for our personal bills, medical bills, court to fight for Justice for my mom, and the other countless obstacles that keep coming our way. Anything would be greatly appreciated and would mean the absolute world to us.
