Momo’s road to recovery

Donation protected
Last Tuesday, one of the neighborhood cats jumped into our yard and our beloved curious momo decided to check them out. The cat attacked her scratched up her face and put a puncture wound on Momo’s chest. Because she’s a Shar Pei, she has an extremely thick coat and we didnt see the wound. We took her to the Vet but we didnt know there was a wound until she started to swell up and the wound turned into an abcess. The abcess ruptured and thats when we knew we were in trouble. We rushed her to the ER and she had to get immediate surgery the next day. The skin near her neck area become necrotic and all of it had to be removed. The surgery was sucessful but the necrosis is still semi spreading. We’re hoping that it doesnt spread to her front leg bones. The Vets are doing daily debridements and are monitoring her injuries.  To those that know me, you probably already know Momo’s my babygirl that I’ve slept next to everyday for the past 7 years. Im not the type of person to ask for help when it comes to money but I’ve already put down close to $7000. She’ll be hospitalized for at least another 3-4 weeks and she’ll have a long road of recovery ahead of her. Please help if you can, every penny means everything to us. A share would also go a long way. Thank you guys.
