Support Momo's recovery care after a 150ft fall

*We’ve additionally raised $2,785 via Venmo and other transactions so we’ve been lowering the goal that was originally $14,000 accordingly along with an additional $1,000 deduction as we’re getting updates with what her final bills are :)

 

Momo fell off of a 150 foot cliff in Boulder, Colorado on a Saturday morning hike. Search and rescue was called and for 3 hours we all assumed the worst. We didn't think she made it. By the time Rocky Mountain Rescue repelled down to retrieve her from the bottom of the cliff she had become hypothermic but by some miracle, she's alive.  She's recovered from hypothermia, outward and internal bleeding, a bruised chin, a bunch of scratches, and likely no brain damage. She did, however, have to spend a few days in the vet ER and completed surgery for her broken leg which included a plate, screws, and bone graft. She has a murmur and some nerve damage that we think will heal with time.

Again, we're so relieved that she'll be okay. Unfortunately, hospital bills are pretty costly especially when they aren't anticipated so we created this fundraiser to have a way for those who wanted to donate since we can't deny the financial stress that comes with her recovery care.

Thank you so much Rocky Mountain Rescue, the hikers there that day that called for help, Ranger Hamond, and Sheriff Kelly for your help getting Momo back to safety. Thank you CASE hospital for supporting her after the rescue and CSU hospital for performing her surgery. Anything you are comfortable in donating is very much appreciated. If we happen to reach our goal, anything leftover will be donated to Rocky Mountain Rescue for equipment so they can save more lives. Thank you.
