My name is Irma Mospan and this story is about my hero, my mom.
If there is a person on this earth that truly lives out the walk of faith and truly serves unconditionally, it is my mom. I could write a whole book about this amazing person and how life has treated her poorly from her childhood, all the way into a very broken marriage, but we wont have enough space, neither is that the purpose of this fundraiser. However I want to give you a little insight into her life.
When I was younger and life was hard, my mom would often talk about the desire to go to Africa and serve the neediest people. We never took her serious until she had raised us all (4kids), helped us with all of our children and often came to stay with me in the USA because I was very homesick in my early years.
I have watched my mom give of herself for as long as I can remember. I have NEVER heard her say no to anyone that was in need. She would NEVER worry about where the money would come from, she would give as if there was no end to her pockets. She always said "God know the need, I give and I know He will replace that money somehow." Her faith has truly shaped me early one. I wanted to be like her in so many ways and often I was sad because I saw my mom being used and taken advantage off many times. However it would not stop her. She never holds a grudge, forgives easily and continues to serve humbly.
In 2010, my sister and I raised enough funds for her to go on her first mission trip to Africa. She had no clue what she was going to do before she went. She was there for 3 weeks and the Lord YHWH opened her eyes to a talent that she had and that she could use for Him. She started the sewing project for young girls and boys and that dream that she carried in her heart all those years, slowly became a reality.

In 2011 she went for 3 month and started the project from the ground up. At this point she was in her late 50's and she trusted God with her finances and her health. The project took of and in 2012 she went for an entire year. She started to build relationships with the girls in the orphanage and became a mom to many.

Oh and I forgot to mention that she did not speak english before going over to the mission field. She kept saying that God will help her to communicate. NO fear, only faith.
In 2013 she went back for 3 weeks and in 2016 she made a big decision, know that this is where God wants her. She gave up her apartment, sold most of her belongings and went back to Malawi for the entire year. When I talk to her I often ask her for how long she will be there? She say's for as long as the Lord will give her the strength to serve Him and his children.

My mom is 62 years old and she acts as if she is 30. She walks hours at a time to go to the market to buy things for the people in need. No trip is to long for her and no need too small.
She works in the project during the day and in her free time she goes to other villages to serve the poorest among the poor. She tries to save her little money to buy seeds for the people that wont have enough to buy it for them selves. She has build many relationships and these people look to her for help. My mom tells me about all these people, by their name, and what their needs are. I try to help as much as possible but at this point we need more help.
These twins lost their mom during childbirth. My mom was part of saving them and she got to name them. She is still in their lives and they consider my mom to be their "oma"
Many people will starve to death because they don't have the crops that they needed. Many children will be without their mom because so many die at childbirth due to the horrible conditions there. My mom tries to buy things on the market for the extreme poor people and she tries to help where she can. But one person is not enough.
If you have a heart for the poor and you want to help, please donate to this fund. I will do regular updates on this gofundme page so you can see where your dollars are being spend. My mom is such an angel, walking among the least of them and she will make every dollar stretch.
Where ever she can, she will sew and fix clothing for the children.
Here is my mom's favorite verse: "And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,f you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 24;40
Thank you for reading our story and for considering to donate to these poor people.
May God YHWH bless you and your family.
When our family was going through our adoption process and we where fundraising, we worked really hard through yardsales. If it wasn't for my mom, coming form Germany to help me, we couldn't have done it. It was so hard and at night all I wanted to do was cry, but she encouraged me. She was the first one up and out in the yeard, sorting clothing, welcoming shoppers, taking care of babies so mom's could buy things and never once did she complain. When I was done and to exhaused, she told me "Irma, we can do this. I will help you. Don't give up." It brings tears to my eyes when I think about her and how much she has shaped my life. I carry her courage inside of me.
Here are a few photos from our yardsale last year.
And not only did she help me, but she also helded my new friend Jessica who was also fundraising and her daughter was baking cakepop's for thier fundraiser. My mom helped there as well. Total strangers, no proble. She just stepps in.
This went on for 6 days. I would not have done it without my mom. She is my hero.
Holding a fussy baby at my yardsale, so mom can shop.
