Update: Momma gained her angel wings.

My sweet Momma Bear was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Cirrhosis of the Liver in 2022. She fought for several years before she started to decline in October of 2025. She began holding fluid that would have to be removed once, sometimes twice a week just so her lung was able to work properly and allow her to breathe.

January 2, 2026 the new gastro doctor at UC put in referral for Liver Transplant Evaluation. By January 9, Mom was admitted. She came home for a day and a half and went right back with Kidney failure.

Momma hasn't been home since January 19, 2026.

She is now intubated in ICU at University of Cincinnati. She is on life saving medication and devices.

The doctors explained to us that the dialysis is the only thing keeping her alive.

We are really having a tough time. At the end of the days, the energy is not there to prepare meals, the gas money to Cincinnati is becoming insane, and our minds are stressing over things we cant get a grasp on right now.

My momma always took care of her husband with seizure disorder. I am doing my best to fill her shoes but I will never be as good as she was at it. He just misses her so much.
