Momma Lynn's ABC Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer Fund

Donation protected
My mother Lynn (Frances) Chenoweth Wojcik as most people in Texas know as "Momma Lynn" to all her kids in the neighborhood she treated as her own was diagnosed unfortunatly with ABC Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma about 2 months ago after going in to the ER thinking she had thrown her back out. Well that unfortunately was not case.

What she thought was her normal life as she knew it was gone as a working manager of Shipley's donuts of 8 yrs a loving mother, loving friend and a person who would go without to make sure anyone else did not then a mere 3 hours into her hospital stay after a cat scan and numerous tests and discovering 2 compression fractures in her lower lumbar(spine) they knew she had some type of cancer. That's when our world changed. She is extremely optimistic and tries her best to be in amazing spirits considering.

On  May 13th she received her final diagnosis of the ABC Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma ( an extremely aggressive type). They discovered the cancer was not only in her lower lumbar but in her plasma and bone marrow after the invasive biopsy drilling into her spine it was confirmed. After years of helping anyone in need and taking in multiple kids have been coming through as an amazing support system and have supplied us with a wheel chair, shower chair, walker, bed wedge and other precautionary measures as she is to be on bed rest due to the compression fractures to L1 & L3 discs as she already had 4 herniated discs prior to this and can only do the necessary things she is allowed or capable of instructed by Dr. Garber her current oncologist.

I am now currently unemployed after being laid off after 7 1/2 years at a law firm and the bills and medical appointments/medical expenses are consistent and adding up along with no income coming in is making this terrifying and stressing to us both.

I am her caregiver and the only child which enables me to work. This is now about her and surviving, tomorrow we get the results of the PET scan to see that it hopefully has not spread further. I thank you all for any thing even prayers for a wonderful outcome for a BEYOND WONDERFUL WOMAN who many people call "Momma Lynn" because that's what she is to sooo many. She was sadly was dealt this card but we have always helped and now as reluctant as I am to do this and put our personal trials out there now I have no choice, no room to be prideful, say I don't need help nor does she we are used to giving the help to anyone, especially my Momma she is only 62 and is going to fight. I will update as tomorrow as I get the results. Thank you for anything even prayer as we are in dire need.

**UPDATE**

After getting the results of the PET Scan it showed she has 20+ markers (tumors) throughout her body and as of now luckily none in her vital organs. She now has a TEAM of doctors who came up with a plan of treatment which is called RCHOP a form of chemotherapy which is 5 different chemo drugs one for each letter which will last at least 6 months. My mother has already had surgery for her port placement under the skin into her heart for the most effective way to attack the blood and bone marrow and other areas of her body where the cancer has spread. The surgery went perfect as could be expected and she was in amazing spirits and is determined to fight this and BEAT this with everything ounce she has in her to "kick cancers butt".  On July 9th she had to be admitted for her first chemo treatment and monitored for any adverse reactions for 24 hours. The treatment went fairly well they did however have to stop after administering the R drug as it lasts for 4 hours and it is the drug to eliminate the tumors and is the most toxic of the 5 drugs. While 2 and 1/2 hours in she started shaking uncontrollably and I abruptly got the nurse as she was freezing to the touch. Then an hour later they began again after administering Demerol to combat the side effect, thankfully she was able to complete the first round and was in a hurry to do so as she is a FIGHTER and beyond strong-willed being an understatement. They advised us that it can take up to 3-5 days for the effects of the RCHOP to occur and they were exactly right.

As of today this will be her first day feeling the nausea, tiredness, weakness, sore throat, dry mouth, and other effects. She has helped so many and seeing her in this pain and being able to do nothing to take the pain away is unbearable to watch let alone take care of everything else while maintaining composure for her, seeing such a wonderful beautifully hearted woman be so sick and worry about bills, no income coming in besides food stamps. I can not work and disability will take at least 6 months (if approved) and finances along with lots of doctor appts, parking, gas, prescriptions and a roof over her head and feeling helpless this is the time after helping so many to a fault is when she needs help to get somethings off of her mind. This is the last thing she needs to be worrying about and if anyone knows my mother " Momma Lynn" she WORRIES ALOT and as much as we don't want to do this we need help. We are drowning in debt and need to keep a safe roof over her head and be able to keep getting her the treatment she so desperately needs to survive. ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated any donation even a  small donation or even prayers also would be beyond helpful and we HATE even asking we all know living paycheck to paycheck is beyond difficult so if you can't donate words of encouragement, prayer and kindness are greatly valued and appreciated in this desperate time of need. The 2nd chemo treatment will be starting July 29th after the follow up oncologist appointment on the 19th. Thank you all in advance and love and prayers to all who have been in this unbelievable situation. It's only been 10 weeks and probably the hardest/longest 10 weeks of our lives and this is just the beginning.

I will continue to keep you all updated as soon as possible after every step of the way....

With great gratitude and love and may god bless you all,
