Momma Kim
Donation protected
On Tuesday, March 5th, my mom’s world was turned upside down. Her house caught fire under her kitchen from a space heater working to unfreeze her pipes so she could have running water. The firefighters arrived quickly, she was able to get herself and her dogs out of the house. She is disabled herself, but cares for my beautiful grandma who has dimentia and my wonderful grandpa- both who are in their mid 80s. She is currently staying with them, but unable to rest as she’s upset and heartbroken over her home, her sanctuary, her place to sleep and find peace at the end of the day. Insurance claims have been made and hopefully the house will be livable and fixable in the future. Unfortunately, in the mean time, the soot from the smoke has made the house and her possessions unbearably dirty. We caught wind about a great cleaning company who will take your dirty, soot covered items/home and clean/save them. She also needs her clothes thoroughly cleaned. With her chronic back pain, she is unable to lift large items or she will feel the excruciating pain for days on end. My mom is on disability, making only a measly few hundred dollars a month and has no means to pay for such services. I, too, am unable to come up with all the funds to make this happen. So, I am asking for a small donation that could help boost my mom’s spirit in this tough time and to clean her possessions. Something to help her see the light at the end of the tunnel. Something to take care of the hard work for her. So that she can focus on making it to NV for my wedding in May without the burden or worry of her possibly ruined possessions, or the pain of trying to do it all herself. So that she can feel like she still has something left and a comfortable home to go to at the end of the day. So that she can feel good and at peace. Don’t we all need that, a safe haven, especially in times of stress and heartache? I know I do.
Anything is graciously appreciated. Thank you so much in advance, and God Bless.
