Hi I'm Tamara and Alvins middle daughter Talyah. Over the years my folks have struggled. Mom was so happy when she was able to move back to Cranbrook and live in her family home, which her grandparents bought in 1951.

2014 they packed up their lives with Tavin from central Alberta. What they thought would be an easy transition wasn't. Alvin still working in Alberta, trying to save, and then covid hit. So the dream of having the money to pay out Tamara's parents was put off. Knowing the house was old and needing repairs, power plumbing roof. Mom called a contractor to come take a look and estimate the cost of a new roof. She was then told, it was $20,000 minimum for the roof,(it's rotten wood flashing everything) but the house has black mold, asbestos tiles and to make it livable. $500 000.

No, we're not asking to raise that. Mom needs to get her and Tavin out of the house, and with her dogs, cats, and Tavin and a housing crisis, it would be nearly impossible to find a rental. Mom's plan is to RV in the yard till she can clean out the house, and sell the property. She just doesn't have the funds for the trailer, or for anything as she also has had to leave her job due to RA and pain levels.
