Aloha, thank you for taking time out of your busy day to read the courageous story of the strongest woman I know.
Marge Kawashima is the epitome of a warrior with her strength and will to keep going everyday despite the constant obstacles she’s faced with. In her army of hope, she has her husband and her two amazing sons which have been her pride and joy for the past 25 years. Being a mom has been so rewarding by seeing both of her sons constantly chasing their dreams, but two and a half years ago their dreams changed.
Marge was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and since then her family has changed their dreams to saving the woman who has given them the world. Up until this point, she was working through her treatment as a store manager with a local company. Things took a turn for the worst when the doctors found a tumor in her brain. The tumor has affected her ability to do daily tasks, even walking is too difficult- this left her unable to work and the financial obligation became too big to ignore.
Her family tried their best to contribute as much as they can, with her two boys and husband working more than 50 hours a week each. But as her condition worsens and her care needs more attention, theyʻve been cutting their hours at work by nearly half. I see her family go from using half their days to work and using their other half to come home and act as a caregiver.
That strength sheʻs had since the beginning of this battle is the same strength her family possesses as they try to save their mother every single day. With their debt at an ongoing rate, the worry of losing their mother is getting harder and harder everyday. We just ask if you may donate what you can so that Marge, her husband and her two boys can have quality time to spend with their mother and create more memories for Marge.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
