Mom's Worst Nightmare
Donation protected
This Saturday evening (5/30) in the midst of the Minneapolis protests/rioting my 4 year old nephew was rushed by ambulance to the burn unit at HCMC. My sister's worst nightmare came true.

Lincoln was running around outside with his Grandma getting the pool ready to finally go swimming in his pool for the first time this summer when he tragically tripped and fell into the fire pit. Earlier that morning his father was burning some brush from the yard work he had been doing and even though her sprayed it down with a hose, hours later it was still hot enough to singe away hair, and cause 2nd, and 3rd degree burns all along both arms and hands as well as both knees, back and side.
With all of the health restrictions in place right now the only person allowed to be with Lincoln is Samantha, his Mom, and she is not allowed to leave the hospital. Dad has been able to visit one time since being hospitalized and the rest of the family has been sending our love through video calls when he is feeling up to it. Lincoln is struggling to understand why he cant go home to be with his baby brother and older sister. The doctors have been wonderful managing his pain and it shows as he just wants to play and does not enjoy being stuck in the hospital bed, thankfully he can play with his trucks on the lunch table.
Lincoln has always been passionate about his "emergency vehicles" and they were able to calm his fears on the way to the hospital by talking about the sirens and everything he knows of ambulances. What Lincoln doesn't know is that ambulance rides, while exciting for him, are very expensive for Mom and Dad. He has been in the hospital for 3 days now and will likely stay more and have numerous return visits while they determine the extent of work needed for him to recover. It will be weeks of follow up before they even have a full treatment plan. Insurance will not cover anything until the $6,000 deductible is paid, even after that the coverage will not be 100%. This will be a long journey of appointments and procedures with multiple surgeries already and skin graft procedures in the future.
This summer was on it's way to be one of first's, last week Lincoln learned how to ride his bike for the first time, 8 month old Ryder is learning how to take his first steps, and this weekend they were finally going to be able to swim in their pool for the first time! Now, it will likely be a while before Lincoln can grip his handlebars to go for his first bike ride all the way to the river, they have had to cancel their first family camping trip as he would be in too great of risk for infection, and Lincoln will have to wait to swim in his pool for the first time.
Samantha and Tim have continued to work through all the quarantine/restrictions trying to keep everyone else's world turning, and making sure everything for their family was taken care of. They are proud, hardworking people who have a very hard time asking for help. Even letting me babysit Ryder, for this weekend, they were mostly worried I would be upset. But there is no doubt this traumatizing incident is going to impact them indefinitely, and they will need some help.
We all know everyone has had their lives turned upside down in many ways so already this year, and 2020 has not been easy on anyone so any donations would be greatly appreciated, no matter the size or form. Cards or care packages, or even just thoughts and prayers for a fast recovery. No child should be going through this, and no mother should have to watch her son in so much pain. I want to thank all of you for taking your time to think of Lincoln and the rest of the Fronsoe family during this hard time.

My name is Brenna Croal, My sister is Samantha Fronsoe, her son Lincoln Fronsoe was injured severely and I am trying to help her raise money to pay for the deductible and ease some of the financial burden of this entire incident, anything extra will go towards Lincolns recovery physically and emotionally.
