Mom's lupus has returned, and she needs our help

The other day Mom started having some severe arthritis symptoms, and then she started having dizzy spells and extreme fatigue every time she would get up to walk even a short distance--and she ended up having to go to the hospital Sunday night. Her lupus causes a condition in her called "autoimmune hemolytic anemia" which basically means her immune system tries to kill off all of her red blood cells. Her hemoglobin levels had dropped to a 6, meaning she needed a blood transfusion and massive doses of steroids for a few days in order to keep it from killing her. She will need to see the doctors every week for a likely months until they have it under control again.
She has had lupus for several years, and during that time she had a great team of doctors who was able to help her keep it under control--for the most part, she was able to live a very normal life.
That started to change after she lost her health insurance. She was no longer able to see her doctors, and for a time had to even stop taking her lupus medications because she could not get them refilled. She was able to get some help with that a few months back, but it takes time for plaquenil to build up in your system, and we think as a result, the hemolytic anemia was able to return.
She has her first visit to the hematologist next week--the visit will cost around $500. The next few visits will be a little cheaper as long as everything is going well and she does not need a lot of labs.
In addition, this is going to cost her about two weeks wages, which will put us behind on bills as well. So we are also asking for some money to help make up for that loss.
She is looking for a side job on Craigslist that she can work to help pay for the long term costs of this hospitalization, because even with assistance from the hospital, it will still cost thousands of dollars. We are only asking for enough to help us get through this initial hump until she can boost her income enough ton pay for the rest on her own.
