Help Me Pay My Mom's U-Haul Charges

My family is in a place of financial hardship right now due to a $6,000 charge from U-Haul for damages that we don't believe we caused on the van we rented and apparently are not covered by the insurance we purchased. I created this GoFundMe to cover those costs and any additional fees that have not yet been outlined to us.

We are in an especially precarious position because my mom is moving to San Francisco for a job that will put her in a better financial position eventually, but these charges will make it just about impossible for her to live out there.

In addition to all that, last November I was hospitalized for cellulitis for over week. I almost died and the bills are in the thousands. If it was just that we could handle it, but this U-Haul charge is too much. We really need this help.

My mom is a medical technologist who has worked just under 40 years at blood banks saving lives every night. She has quietly been charitable whenever possible and has helped out more people than I can remember even when we were hurting.

Please help me help my mom start her new chapter on the right foot and avoid financial ruin.
