Mom trying to beat thyroid cancer

My name is Erin, I’m a mother of 2 sweet boys that are 7yr and 5yrs old. I have been getting rapidly sicker and sicker since December, and it wasn’t until the end of March, my doctor found cancer in my entire neck. My thyroid had to be completely removed along with almost 100 lymph nodes on April 11th. The cost of the surgery even with my insurance was about $3k out of pocket. As a vet tech, I am missing so much more work than expected and losing about $4k a month by not working. I’m still struggling to work and have to be isolated this week for radiation therapy. I now have to do physical therapy because the surgery has weakened my entire muscle in my neck and I can’t lift anything that’s over 3lbs. I can only keep a meal down about once every 3 days, I’ve lost so much weight and am getting weaker and more depressed.

It’s embarrassing but I’m doing what I can to help my family while they help me through the most difficult time of my life. Every little bit is so helpful to us right now. Struggling to pay for bills and groceries is a very real and very scary feeling. Any extra money I have from this I wish to donate to someone that is struggling as well.
