Mom Survived Covid! But She Still Needs Treatment
My mom was put on a ventilator just 4 days after she tested positive for covid. That same night she had a lung collapse and we were told we would lose her. We knew her Lupus would make this difficult. But 21 days later they managed to wake her from her coma and she was ready to heal! After 26 days, she was released home to us. She has to be on oxygen for at least 3 months, still unable to walk or have the strength to do daily tasks on her own. With multiple open sores from being bedridden and very weak lungs, she will require weekly wound care and physical therapy as well as an additional home caregiver to assist my dad. Both of them were disabled and unable to work before this so the brunt of these hospital bills will be very unforgiving. We are so blessed to have our mom back, but paying the medical bills is going to be a challenge for our family. We are grateful for anything you can give to ease our endeavor!
