Mom of two Girls in need of help for lawyer fees

Hi,

I am in the process of going through a terrible child custody battle with my daughter's father. We have had no communication with this man for years and he has decided to pop up into our lives unannounced and demand rights he doesn't deserve. We were divorced in the state of Florida and so annoyingly we have to go through the court system there. My two daughters have been in my care solely their entire lives and have only met this man once last year when the court ordered him to spend time with them and when he came he was ordered to spend 5 days and only spent two and was late one day and even didnt show up the next. in the eyes of the courts it was considered as if he did and he was granted access to see them for all of summer and all holidays coming up. My daughters were ordered to fly to Florida as minors ( they are 7 and 8) and stay with him for all of the spring break which is coming up and all of the summer. They have never left me and now are going to meet a man they met once and his whole family they have never met and go across the country. I have dealt with them crying daily, worried they won't come back and worried to leave me and the comfort of their home. I am looking towards GOfundme to see if I can raise enough to pay for lawyer fees. My goal is to get the divorce and custody switched to California courts. I have two jobs- and even with that, I am living paycheck to paycheck saving as much as I can for lawyer fees. It's not leaving me much to work with once I take away food, bill and rent. I took out a credit card to help with paying a lawyer and now I am in Credit card debt. It's a vicious cycle. I have been a part of the Bay area community my entire life and have donated multiple times to Gofundme to help others, I am hoping that this time for myself I can receive the same help that others were able to get. I do have to say I am a bit embarrassed to have to ask as I am not one to put others out as I know we are all struggling at this time. My story runs deeper but all I am asking is if you can help, I would appreciate anything. My children are my life and for two little girls to fly across the country to a man they do not know that has a criminal record is frightening. I have not received child support or any help from this man. We are struggling and I am stretching myself thin working two jobs and going to court on zoom and with all the other bills it's getting to me. I do not have any family support. My mother had me at 15 and I was raised by a grandparent who isn't here and can hardly make ends meet herself. Again, I appreciate anything you can do. If you can't donate but have been in a similar situation I would love any advice as well.
