Mom of Infant & Toddler Facing MHC Eviction — Please Help

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Hayley, and I am creating this GoFundMe with a humble heart. I am a mother of two little girls, and I’m reaching out for help to save our home and catch up on our lot rent before a scheduled court hearing on January 6th that could lead to eviction.

I don’t normally ask for help, but I have exhausted every local resource available to me. I’ve spoken with my Trustee’s office and all referral agencies, and while I’m extremely grateful for the $350 pledge I received, it hasn’t been enough to stop the eviction process. My mobile home park does not accept partial payments from me, only pledged donations, and nothing donated is posted to my account until the entire balance is paid in full. This policy has caused the balance to grow faster than I can control.

How I Got Here:
My struggle began long before this notice was ever placed on my door. When I was pregnant with my oldest daughter, my father passed away unexpectedly in February 2023. My brother and I were his only children, but because we were minors when he made his beneficiary designation, he listed a former girlfriend—who unfortunately did not honor their agreement for us to receive the funds he intended for us.

At that time, I was renting a home neighboring my father. I ended my month-to-month lease so I could take over his home and estate, believing his home had been paid off in 2020. I later discovered it had been refinanced in 2014, leaving a much larger financial burden than I could manage alone. My father was a longtime US Steel employee of 28 years, so my income simply could not cover both his mortgage and utilities. My brother and I were forced to sell his home, and after settling his debts, the small remaining funds were split between us.

With my second daughter due in just a few weeks, I used my share to purchase the mobile home we live in today, hoping to give my girls stability. My home was purchased in October 2024, but I was not able to secure my current employment until May 2025.

The Recent Setback:
I have been working hard to keep up, but recently I needed a medical procedure that required me to miss work. That short period of unpaid time caused a financial domino effect I couldn’t stop. Now I am behind on the October, November, and December lot rent, plus legal fees.

If the eviction is approved, I will not only lose my home—I will also be forced to forfeit the title of my mobile home to the park, leaving my girls and me with nowhere to go.

Why I’m Asking for Help:
My total owed balance includes:
• Lot rent for October, November, and December
• Legal fees
• A small portion of January’s rent — only to ensure I don’t immediately fall behind again once this crisis is resolved

Anything raised above the balance will strictly be used toward securing stability for my daughters.

Every single donation, no matter how small, lowers the total and increases my eligibility for additional assistance. Truly — every dollar helps.

From a Mother’s Heart:
I am fighting to keep a roof over my daughters’ heads. I’ve tried every possible avenue before coming here. Asking for help is not easy, but losing our home would be devastating. If you are able to donate, share, or even send prayers, my family and I would be forever grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
God bless you.
