Mom of 4 diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma

Christin is a 32 year old married mother of 4.  A few years ago she had noticed a red spot on her neck, when she had a Dr. look at it, he thought it was a broken blood vessel and didn't think much of it. Then in spring of 2018 Christin had another Dr. look at it and they opted to have it removed. The report at the time was that it was Melanoma but nothing further was reported to her. They did a biopsy on one lymph node and it came back clear so they didn't mention any further follow ups were needed or recommended. Then November 2019 Christin started suffering from headaches, after nearly a months of headaches with a stabbing pain that caused her to get sick. On November 30th 2019 after trying to work through the pain she decided to go the ER to have it checked out. The ER Dr. opted to have a cat scan done to rule out some options. Upon the review of the cat scan the Dr. came in and said I didnt see that coming. He then told her that the scan showed a mass in her head. The next thing ordered was a MRI scan of her head  which came back showing 8 tumors in her brain.  They quickly moved her to ICU  then opted to do a full body MRI scan to see if it had spread to any other organs or Lymph Glands, the scan showed a 13 cm tumor on her kidney and another tumor on her colon. They started a 10 day round of Radiation December 4th 2019. The next stage was to have a port installed on December 13th 2019 where they will start her on injections of Nivolumab (Opdiva) and Ipilimumab (Yervoy) for treatment of her stage 4 Melanoma.  Christin is the main financial provider for her family, with this treatment and recovering from the surgery she has lost time at work and is not sure when she will be able to return to work. The funds will help with daily expenses, day care and other needs  for her 4 children, out of pocket medical, transportation and other expenses that will help ease the the financial burden that this diagnosis will continue to drain on her family.
