I'm fundraising for my mom, Terri, who has fought and beat cancer five times (3x brain, 1x breast, 1x G.I.), and is fighting again against a brain tumor+chemo, paralysis, a broken femur, and now a completely broken ankle. Insurance won't help; she's being sent home from rehab before she's ready, so she needs help for several months of in-home therapy and care while she recovers.

UPDATE:
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORT SO FAR! It helped us purchase a ramp for the house and will cover one week of in-home care. But things just took a terrible turn.
My mom desperately wants to fight to get better, but Medicare/Medicaid refuse to fund her needs. Because of this, mom is being sent home in 4 days (8/16) before she's ready to take care of herself. Necessities like the bathroom and getting food/water are still impossible for her on her own.
After insurance, she still needs $2000/week for 6-12 months (ie: $104,000) for in-home care alone. Much more will be required for home safety modifications (high up-front cost), medical transport to/from doctors, a powered wheelchair, power lifts, therapy, etc.
We are using all the spare money we have and can't afford to give her the quality of life she deserves. Please help her. We need your help spreading the word as soon as possible.

MORE DETAIL:
Despite being paralyzed on her left side from the first brain tumor 30 years ago, she fought for her sons. Doctors said she'd never be able to walk, remember things, or ever be independent again. Regardless, she wanted to raise my brother and me right. With one arm and leg paralyzed, she made meals, treats for school activities, went to all our sports games/musicals/performances, did laundry, drove us to/from school, stood up to our bullies, fundraised for clubs, and walked to hug her boys at our graduations. She also became a WeightWatchers leader, lost 111 pounds, and taught/inspired many to do the same. That's a lot, even for able-bodied people.
But then cancer struck again. The treatments caused great weakness, leading her to break her foot a decade ago, and life hasn't been the same. It's been a line of injuries, medical treatments, and constant effort. But she never stopped trying through all her lows. She got back up again and again. Even when she broke her femur last year while crafting a dollhouse for her future grandkids, she kept pushing. And again now, with chemo and a broken ankle, she refuses to give up.
To see her struggling like this over and over is heart-breaking. We've given her all the support we can. I left my job for a year to care for her until my savings ran out. My brother helped for months until his deployment date came, and he's now serving our country in the military. My father is trying to provide for her and run a restaurant that continues to struggle since COVID.
My father's restaurant is severely under-staffed since COVID, so he often has to work 20 hour days. When he isn't working, he takes care of mom, drives her to doctor's appointments, and rarely sleeps. This leaves my mom with very little assistance to take care of herself. The best we could do before was place an ice-cooler next to her chair with packed lunch and dinner for the day; ensure her medications were within reach of her chair; and provide her with a clean portable toilet chair each day within easy transfer distance. Now that she can't stand without help, this isn't enough.
She needs immediate in-home care for her safety. Without it, simple needs like bathroom trips and getting food/water are impossible while my dad is at work. She also needs increased in-home therapy to become independent again.
Please help cover what our family cannot. Any small amount adds up, so please share this with your friends, family, company, place-of-worship, clubs. Even $1 makes a difference.
Thank you for your time, truly.
Tyler
