Mom of 2, battling cancer & looses father of kids

Kaori, a friend of mine and mother of 2 kids (ages 6 & 7) was recently diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time and will begin chemo any day now. On top of her own personal battle,  Paul Sandhu, the father of her kids, and sole financial supporter of the family, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly last week. He was an amazing father to the kids and Kaori and her 2 Children really need all our immediate support! She just had surgery on Feb 21st and is still recovering but will be starting chemo within a few days.

Kaori has no family living in the US and her parents who are from Japan, are not able to travel to help care for her or her children. She needs the community to pull together and help support some of their current financial needs, specifically the most urgent needs include funds to help pay for rent and food, financial support for the chemo treatments and funds to help cover care for her children while she is going through chemo and unable to care for them on her own.

Kaori is an Ocean charter and Grandview Elementary mom. Her daughter and my son are in the same Kindergarten class this year. Up until recently she was an active room parent, always involved in the 2 schools, supporting the kid’s, teachers and other parents and sharing her art of making cookies with the community. She has no one to turn to other than this community, her community, the one she has always so freely and openly given so much to!

Let’s all pull together for her!! It takes a village and lets show her the support she desperately needs and whole heartedly deserves!!
