11 Special Needs Rescue Parrots almost out of food were saved by the Bird Community last year. Life with parrots, especially eleven Rescue Parrots to care for, is a huge expense and commitment! When Cameron Lynn Benedetto, the parrot's mom, lost her job and came down with Covid 14 months ago, finances became tight. That is when she decided to do something she had never done before and asked for help from the Bird Community. I made a video on our YT Channel Parrot Playhouse, and people all over started sending pellets and toys for her rescue parrots. 14 months later, Cameron is still very weak and has come down with Covid for a second time fighting for her life. Just the other day, she was rushed to the hospital for chest pains and couldn't breathe. Sadly Cameron has no medical insurance or funds coming in for food, rent, or utilities. Cameron is getting so frail that after she feeds her birds, she doesn't have the strength to care for herself. The birds were almost out of food last week, and members of the FB Bird Community send emergency food and toys for her parrots. Cameron told me she will always make sure her birds have food and eat before herself and Her birds come first no matter what! I decided to do a GoFundMe for Cameron and her 11 parrots to help with rent, utilities, and food. I made a second video to update everyone on the sad news of Cameron and her parrots. I hope the bird community can once again unite as a Flock and Help Cameron and her beautiful Parrots get through these very challenging times. #FlockPower
