Mom needs to stay with 25 week preemie baby!

Hi, my name is Tiffany. I am raising funds to assist my sister and her husband during this difficult time. Baby Brooklyn is a Micro Preemie, born at 25 weeks at 11 inches and a little over 1lb . Her mom Tabby King (Clemenson) went to the ER for stomach pains, which turned out she had HELLP Syndrome, which is a rare and dangerous form of preeclampsia. Her blood work came back dangerously high, as well as her blood pressure spiking. She went to the hospital the night of February 6, and due to the findings, they had to deliver Baby Brooklyn on February 8, 2022, at 4:45 pm. There were also some complications during the C section. Thankfully, Tabby is recovering well.

Brooklyn has had a rough start and is currently critical but stable. She is on a ventilator with 100% oxygen and nitric oxide. She does not handle cares well; she is also pretty sedated on fentanyl and morphine. She is expected to be in the NICU until the end of May. Brooklyn has good and bad days. We did have a scare on February 15, where they did not think she would make it through the night. We recently had another scare on February 23, where she had to undergo emergency surgery for a hole in her intestine that was leaking into her stomach. She is still very sick and has a long road ahead to be strong and healthy.

 

Brooklyn is one strong lil fighter and we pray continuously that she will get stronger and healthier so she can go home in May. Having mom and dad at the hospital helps Brooklyn.

 

Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help with Tabby and Dan King's expenses. Brooklyn needs her parents present as much as possible. Tabby and Dan lost their first daughter, Skylar in December 2016 due to medical issues when she was 13 days old and will continue to fight not to lose Brooklyn.
