Help us get Ivonne to her final resting place

I'm writing on behalf of the Avila and Rocha family as Adriana- Ivonne and Jose's daughter. 

As most of you know by now, my mother passed away on November 30, 2020. If the date looks familiar it's because it's the same day one year later when we all gathered to celebrate my grandmother Olivia's life. Now, my mom and my grandma are together once again, probably chismeando. We can hear their giggles from here. 

My mom had been sick for a while, and the emotional, physical, and spiritual toll that her body put her through was one I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Just about a week ago my mom had to have emergency heart surgery. The odds were stacked against her and she was scared but she was also brave.

We know that my mom decided she had had enough and we do not resent her for it. We are lucky she fought for us for so long. We just ask that she and Olivia save a spot for us. 

We've started this GoFundMe to ask for your help. My grandma Olivia and my mom both expressed to us their wish to be buried together. My grandma was laid to rest in February in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California. Currently my mom is in Las Vegas, Nevada. She will be cremated here but for a burial to happen in Rose Hills we need to gather another $5000. 

We know times are tough and strange and unprecedented. So we ask for donations of any amount. Any and every dollar will get us closer to our goal and we would like to thank you in advance. I cannot put into words how grateful we are that you've even read this far. 

We feel the love and family that my grandma Olivia founded and that my mom Ivonne fostered now more than ever. Thank you all who have reached out already and we will see each other soon.
