Update: I want to express my appreciation for all those who reached out, continued to pray, and donated. My sister has decided to use these donations towards Rosie's burial. Please continue to pray for the grieving family.
Update: The baby's heart rate has been gradually dropping. Doctors say they anticipate the baby to pass within the next 24 hours. Please pray for my sister. I can't imagine the emotional stress she's enduring.
A mother of 6 gave birth to a daughter on Easter Sunday. This was a very difficult pregnancy so she wasn't able to work a lot of the times. She had to go to the clinic more frequently because she was deemed high-risk. She has thalassemia and required iron infusions as well. She ran out of PTO before delivery. She had plans to apply for short-term disability. She ended up requiring an emergency c-section and hemorrhaged during the operation. She required 4 liters of blood and they told the babies father they weren't sure she would make it but baby is fine. Well, she pulled through and was discharged on day 6. On day 9 baby became unresponsive. They rushed to the nearest urgent care where baby stopped breathing. EMS took her to emergency where she was finally revived over 40 minutes later. She is still unresponsive to any stimuli and isn't expected to improve due to the extended time without oxygen to her brain. Yesterday mom received a call (while in the hospital next to her sick child) that her house is officially under foreclosure. She has no money and has to make a life altering decision. The father has been picking up work, however, still has to care for children at home, carpull, provide meals, and visit the hospital. Mom has remained at the hospital since their arrival. They need to keep a roof over the other children and food on the table. If you can, please help. Any amount is appreciated. Prayers are appreciated. Please continue to share this link with others.
Update: The baby has since been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. Her seizures are less frequent with Versed. Please continue to pray.
