I'm Liz Cabrel an artisan, management engineer, ma in environment's sustainable management, soap maker, gender rights activist and sexual health counselor.

This is my first time doing a fundraising. As the health of my mother Betty has declined significantly from one day to the other, I have had to put aside for a while my projects this year to take care of her health.

A month ago, my mom had a hypovolemic shock due to esophageal hemorrhage and she almost lost her life in front of me.

My mom has been diagnosed with non alcoholic advance hepatic cirrhosis which caught us by surprise. She has suffered from an auto inmune thyroid’s problem (lupus) since she was in her 20s. She is now in hospice care at home.

My mom grew up an orphan and because of that, hard work and honesty to succeed in life, has been the most valuable teaching we have learned from her. She is loved by her three daughters and grandchildren, who unfortunately live far away from her. She was always a well loved neighbor and member of her community in Lima Peru. Due to the cost of her care which has almost tripled, any contribution you can offer at this moment would be greatly appreciated!!

Soy Liz Cabrel, artesana, ingeniera administrativa, maestra en gestión ambiental sostenible, jabonera artesanal, activista por los derechos de igualdad de género, educadora y consejera de salud sexual. Esta es mi primera vez recaudando fondos. Como la salud de mi madre, Betty, ha empeorado significativamente de un día para otro, he tenido que posponer mis proyectos de este año para cuidar de su salud. Hace hace un mes, mi madre sufrió un shock hipovolémico debido a una hemorragia esofágica y casi pierde la vida delante de mí. A mi madre le diagnosticaron cirrosis hepática avanzada no alcohólica, lo cual nos tomó por sorpresa. Padece lupus, un problema autoinmune de tiroides, desde que tenía veintitantos años. Actualmente recibe cuidados paliativos en su hogar. Mi madre creció huérfana y, por eso, el trabajo duro y la honestidad para triunfar en la vida han sido la enseñanza más valiosa que hemos aprendido de ella. Sus tres hijas, sus nietas y nietos (que lamentablemente viven lejos de ella, la adoran). Siempre fue una vecina muy querida y miembro de su comunidad en Lima, Perú. Debido a que el costo de su atención casi se ha triplicado, cualquier contribución que pueda hacer en este momento será muy apreciada. ¡Con cariño y agradecimiento!
